There was Stalker on lunch break on the 28th of January at 1 o'clock. Sitting there looking at the paper, keeping the hands warm on a mug of hot coffee and dreaming about lands faraway.
Then Stalker heard a most familiar name float across the wireless ether - Bernadette Carey. Even though far away in recreational reverie, Stalker's ears pricked up, and the next thing a sleepy Stalker was listening intently to the radio show.
The presenter on FM104 was speaking about Bernadette in Harte Peat – a.k.a. Bernadette Carey, from Monaghan. Her daughter Jennifer has graduated from D.C.U with her degree in Film Production. Jennifer has worked on films such as Veronica Guerin and another top film called Ring of Fire.
Jennifer was heading across the briny to Liverpool to start a new job at the beginning of February. Stalker would wish her all the best in her nascent filmic career, and doubtless mum is beaming with pride at Jennifer's success in the reels and roles that comprise the film industry on these islands. Hollywood beckons!
