Monday 15th of October saw a small posse from the North visiting some sites of interest in the Navan area. Growers Owen O'Neill, Marty McKee and Kieran Farrell from Keady Co Armagh, along with Colin McEvoy from Laurencetown Co. Down, paid a visit to the Sylvan plant to view the high tech world of spawn production. The group were all agog at the level of technical sophistication they witnessed . The group also took in a visit to the farm of Shane McKenna who showed them around his very impressive mushroom unit. The group would like to express their thanks especially to Shane for the time and hospitality extended on their flying visit.
