A Canadian company D-Wave has claimed that it has achieved “ quantum supremacy”, solving a problem too complex for the most powerful “classical” computer, in a breakthrough that would lead to the first practical uses of quantum computing.
We’ll have to wait and see if the promise is real, but it's just another step towards a future where anything seems possible.
