After Bert and Connall, we got Storm Darragh with red alerts and warnings of risk to life. Ireland saw gusts of up to 141 km/h - pretty substantial winds indeed. The word is we should be shoring up buildings and infrastructure in the UK and Ireland for more regular storms like these.
Stalker hasn’t yet heard of wind damage affecting mushroom operations locally, but weather proofing for future events like these is a given.
Storm Darragh definitely did it for Holyhead though - closed until January 15th 2025 as things stand!
