Stalker notes that the euro has dropped in value against the pound sterling of late. The weakening of the eurozone currency comes on the back of some political and economic volatility in the powerhouse European double act of France and Germany. Both countries seem to be wobbling a bit in slightly different ways.
Indeed some commentators see the same wobbling in the UK too.
For sure the current political and economic situation globally seems very precarious and unpredictable as we approach the new year and all it will bring. Mind you a one cent change in the currency exchange rate does not herald that much.
As we go to press the one pound sterling buys €1.21 on the currency exchange markets - converse being just under 83p for €1.
