Stalker is always on the lookout for a nice vino which will go well with all the mushroom recipes that one tries in the course of things. Not having the greatest nose, one relies on the experts and their tips for pairing a wine with certain foods.
A Do Impecável Carlos Raposo from Portugal recently got the nod from one expert. At €25 it is not necessarily cheap, or in the normal price range that one might go for. But the tasting notes were favourable - “a gorgeous wine with floral aromas, elegant ripe red fruits, and soft tannins on the finish. Enjoy with turkey, goose or mushroom dishes.”
