Electric Vehicle registrations are on the up in Ireland and the UK in the last quarter.
Reasons for same include big discounts from suppliers and perhaps a rush to buy before new tax rules apply in the UK.
The BBC reported: “One in four cars sold in the UK last month was electric, according to industry figures, but new registrations were driven by steep discounting.
Electric car sales grew in November for the 11th consecutive month, according to the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) as carmakers raced to meet tough targets.
Manufacturers gave "massive" discounts worth around £4bn on electric vehicles (EVs), the SMMT said.”
No matter the reasons, the deadline for the end production of petrol and diesel engines grows ever closer.
Stalker notes that the latest Kia EV is made using mushrooms! As well as safety features there may well be mushrooms used in the uphosltery of the fancy new motor.
