November started and then continued in a gloomy frame of mind, with very little sunshine experienced in the southern parts of the UK and Ireland. Cloudy gloom was followed by foggy gloom - the case for vitamin D enhanced mushrooms was never stronger!
The gloominess was offset by mild conditions, which changed towards the end of the month to more Arctic air and plunging temperatures. Winter finally arrived as the month came to a close, with Storm Bert wreaking some havoc as well.
The month finally closed on some extremely mild temperatures again - who knows what December will bring?
