ST SWITHIN SIGN
Depending on where you were in the UK and Ireland, St Swithin’s Day was either a total washout or a first taste of summer.Warm sunny weather seemed to bathe most of Ireland. Lots of places in England and Wales got soaked. England had over one hundred percent of its average July rainfall in the first two weeks of the month. England also experienced its hottest day of the summer, with the mercury hitting 31.9C in central London on Friday 19th.Whether forty days of the St Swithin’s rain comes our way remains to be seen. But isn’t it ever thus.
