Twenty years ago in July 2004 the local mushroom scene seemed very vibrant. Cathal Ellis & Co at the Greenmount campus had developed the ‘Mushroom Challenge’ to assist growers re-assess and help improve their businesses.
The Amycel Maxx strain was cropping well. Dutch company C point unveiled a new website.
And some top mushroom men from Spain - Jose Ibanez and Pedro Garcia- were over checking out the phase 3 set-up in Tandragee.
