One of the organisers behind the seminar at Teagasc Ashtown where growers could learn about systems from leading mushroom automation companies was very happy with the attendance at the event.
Speaking to the Anglo Celt newspaper, Teagasc Mushroom Advisor Donal Gernon stated that he would’ve been happy if he had 40 people attend - representing each of the growers in the whole island - that would have been a huge success.
“There were 110 people there,” he enthused. “It just goes to show there is a serious level of interest.”
