So after the extra warming associated with El Nino, now the WMO (World Meteorological Organisation) is forecasting cooler times and climes with the arrival of La Nina this year.
We can’t perhaps pin the cool weather of early June to La Nina - but the global mean temperatures could be cooling over the next year or so, which would be no bad thing.
The chance of El Nino developing again while were in the El Nina phase is apparently very low.
