Sales of new electric vehicles in Ireland are down 22 percent so far this year as compared to last year.
Although new car sales are up by around 4 per cent. Hybrids are proving popular as drivers hedge their bets on the new electrified and battery technologies.
The effect of the entry of new Chinese EVs onto the Irish market has yet to be seen in Irish figures - but it seems like we’ll be seeing more of these on the roads in the next year or so - hefty import tariffs notwithstanding.
