LOOKING BACK 2

Looking back to June 2014 talk of the weather was as ever a hot topic as Stalker noted:

‘Conversation about the weather, according to Oscar Wilde, "is the last refuge of the unimaginative".

Were we one day to take that little witticism to heart, the country would fall awkwardly silent.

Speaking of which, meteorological summer began in earnest on June 1st.

The rains began to pour on June 2nd. Kind of typical Irish summer weather.’
That year June was a hot one though, with lots of sunshine.
