An Irishwoman’s Diary column in the Irish Time’s on Tuesday May28th carried a veritable encomium to the humble mushroom as food source and potential inheritor of the planet.
Diairist Fionnuala Ward waxed lyrical about the fresh produce, saying she added it to everything “ I put mushrooms in everything.”
She did baulk at the idea of mushrooms in the dessert phase. Considering that there is chocolate being made with mushrooms, to add to sweetness and lessen sugar content - Stalker reckons she missed a treat there.
