Stalker recently came across this clipping from one of the Sunday papers. It certainly makes one think of how the world of medicine is moving forward.
“At a talk called Explore Forbidden Design: Psychedelic Medicine At Stanford a panel from Stanford University discussed ways of using psychedelics such as ketamine and MDMA to benefit mental health. Mushroom for Moms looked at how psilocybin from fungi can help with postnatal depression. And Facing Death Without Fear: Psychedelics for End of Life Care suggested the use of mind-expanding drugs to ease the journey into the great beyond. These people were not hippies. Soon all our dinner parties will feature psychedelic mushroom ragouts.”
A new study out recently into the enzyme that makes the magic in magic mushrooms stated :
“It has shown promising results in the treatment of depression, addiction and anxiety.
Psilocybin is therefore already at an advanced stage of clinical testing as an active pharmaceutical ingredient.”
