The gloom in the industry continues with prices for produce remaining stubbornly in the doldrums.
The knock on effect in growing circle is somewhat like skittles – one topples then another and another. Some growers are dropping out for what they hope to be the short term to see if things improve, others are simply cutting their losses and bowing out of the industry for good.
Composters are feeling the pinch with the growers not filling too.
It sure looks like it's gonna be a long, thin summer!
