On the back of the COP28 summit happening in Dubai, climate scientists were putting out data that shows that the world is on track for nearly 3C warming if current policies hold.
Calls for deep emissions cuts of 28 percent were made, they’ll be needed if the world is to keep with 2 C of warming.
This year has “shattered” climate records and is set to be the hottest since measurements began, with greenhouse gas and sea levels reaching all-time highs, and Antarctic sea ice at record lows.
