The vegan burger company Beyond Meat is to cut jobs for the second time in a year as its chief executive blamed “misinformation” about its plant-based food for stagnant sales.
The California-headquartered company announced a shake-up of its business which will involve 65 employees leaving the company, as it warned sales for the year would be around 20pc lower than last year.
It marks the second sales downgrade this year and the second round of job cuts in 12 months. Beyond Meat let 200 people go in October 2022
