The Irish Times carried a piece on mushrooms grown in UCD by Revolution Farm.

The farm is an artic-container, using coffee grinds to produce oyster mushrooms.

The UCD Innovation Academy got involved and acquired the Revolution Farm to help their students understand mushroom growing and enterprise growth.

Professor Suzi Jarvis described the venture as showing  “what’s involved in starting up a new business , particularly in the area of sustainability”.

The company apparently makes a fabulous oyster mushroom stock from their produce, which has been used in some top rated Dublin eateries.
