French mushroom pickers have been urged to avoid eating mushrooms they wrongly “identified” as edible via smartphone applications following a spate of poisonings.
The warning from anti-toxicology experts at Anses, France’s food, environment and occupational health and safety agency, follows a spike in the number of people who have confused apparently harmless fungi with potentially lethal ones.
