A reporter noted this encounter in the Peak District near the river Derwent recently.
‘We saw a crouching man looking intently at something small, beige and round. He said it was a puffball and added: “Wolf’s fart.” Pardon? “Wolf’s fart,” he repeated. “That’s what it is called.” We later discovered its fancier name is Lycoperdon which means, yes, wolf fart. Who knew? It’s also called a devil’s snuffbox. Some guys just get all the great names.’
Stalker reckons there's a lycanthropic/ petomane joke in this somewhere - but just can't nail it...
