Getting to know your stinkhorns, shaggy parasols and other mushrooms that grow in woodland at Emmetts Garden in Kent, was easy this month.
The National Trust's Edwardian garden ran a month-long mushroom -hemed festival which opened with a three-day Fungal Fair.( Adult £13, child £6.50 national trust.org.uk).
It’s great to see such events happening around the country in the unofficial mushroom month of October.
