DISEASE X

Reading the papers recently the phrase ‘disease X’ leapt out of the pages and made Stalker sit up and read the item involved.

Alas, it wasn’t referring to the elusive ‘mushroom virus X’ that mushroom scientists have been investigating this many a long year.

The item was about a new vaccine research centre in the UK based at the UK Health and Security Agency's (UKHSA) Porton Down campus in Wiltshire.

In this case ‘X’ is the unknown and unforeseeable next viral vector that might cause the next covid style pandemic.

Good luck to them in their research is all Stalker would say.
