Ireland's trade balance was well in the pink with the news that Irish exports hit nearly record levels with €19.5 billion to June. You’d need to be a statistician to make head or tail of the CSO ( Central Statistics Office) report:
“The (unadjusted) value of goods exports grew by €1,838 million (+10%) to €19,550 million in June 2023 compared with June 2022. The value of goods exports for the period January to June 2023 was down by €2,989 million (-3%) to €102,045 million, when compared with the same period of 2022.”
So it’s up, but it's down. Stalker gets confused easily by these types of sentences. Anyway, the headlines were glowing - so we’ll just go with that.
