As we get buffeted by unusual summer storms in Ireland it is interesting to note what the meteorologists are telling us.
Met Éireann has told its forecasters that Ireland needs to prepare itself for much heavier rainfall, storm surges and coastal flooding, as well as the growing likelihood of extreme weather events.
Looks like we could be heading into a stormier future.
