The Northern Ireland Mushroom Growers Association (NIMGA), which represents the majority of the mushroom growers in Northern Ireland, has warned that the industry is under threat due to the end of free movement of workers post-Brexit.
NIMGA has said that local firms have a vacancy rate of almost 16 percent.
NIMGA chair Frank Donnelly said efforts to recruit local workers has not produced the numbers needed to meet demand.
