The sterling rate against both the US dollar and the euro has remained stronger over the past month.
The rate versus the euro is steadily above the €1.16 mark, and even breached the €1.17 mark, which is good news for fresh produce producers in Ireland.
That translates to €1 equalling roughly 86p on the foreign exchange market.
One pound buys $1.25 on the FX markets just at the moment.
