Forecasters at NOAA ( National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) have given a 62 percent chance that El Nino will develop during the May to July period this year, and an 80 percent chance of it developing between July and September 2023.
Basically it would be prudent to expect the El Nino effect this year. What exactly that means for us here in the Northern Hemisphere Stalker is not sure. El Nino involves the warming of the Pacific ocean’s surface which drives changes in temperature and rainfall patterns in many parts of the world.
No doubt we’ll hear more about this as the year wears on.
