Stalker was interested to read that sloth fur is the new frontier for the finding of drugs to combat superbugs. The fur of the Costa Rican sloth is teeming with antibiotic-producing bacteria which may hold the key to combating the lethal superbugs that threaten human health.
Sloth fur hosts a bustling community of insects, fungi, bacteria and algae, among other microbes, which should prove lethal to the sloth, but miraculously isn't.
Scientists researching the animal believe that the sloth's pelt contains the means to fight off this toxic mix of hangers on, and hopefully they will be able to isolate the means by which the sloth remains infection-proof.
If Stalker was an animal, then that animal would be, most likely, a sloth.
