Stalker was reading on St Patrick’s Day that scientists believe they have discovered a new parasitic fungus which preys on trapdoor spiders in Brazil’s Atlantic rainforest.
The purple spider eater seems new to science, but resembles the behaviour of the cordyceps fungus with ants.
No doubt we’ll hear more of this zombie-creating type fungus before too long.
