Seems like the theme of fungus being the bogeyman as mentioned in last month’s issue has been picked up by esteemed mycologist Paul Stamets.
He claims that science fiction TV series The Last of Us is "exploiting mycophobia: the fear of fungi" when mushrooms could actually "save the world," as he explains in his TED Talk.
You can read about this mycophobia elsewhere in the issue, but the t.v. series is definitely provoking a response out there in the media world.
