The latest hot prog on telly - our on the streaming service of your choice - is a fungus related tale, derived from a video game no less. The Last Of Us which is showing on Sky Atlantic, which may as well be the Moon if you don’t have it.
It is an action adventure about a middle-aged man escorting a teenage girl across post-apocalyptic America in a world that has been ravaged by a mutated fungus which turns people into zombies. Ho hum, one might say - it all sounds pretty derivative - but the critics tell us it is good!
Stalker loves a bit of sci-fi, and also has a soft spot for the male lead actor Pedro Pascal - but not quite enough to sign up to Sky to watch it.
Also once more we have a fungus as the bogeyman - but given talk of the disease X last year, the fungal threat to humanity - maybe it isn’t as far-fetched - “ like a bucket of sh*te from China” -as one might think.
