We’ve all heard of the metaverse by now, the latest big idea from the Facebook stable. An online, virtual space where Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg believes the future lies. The parent company Meta is spending billions every year to create the virtual world.
Stalker wonders if in the near future we will be immersed in such a simulated scenario. Will you be able to get your mushrooms from Meta?
Of course it is not so fanciful as some might think. Although it’s hard to see into this already imagined future, there is scope though for pushback against this technological mind trip as much as there is scope for its becoming.

Since writing this note Stalker notes that Meta's shares have taken a bit of a dive and questions are being asked at the Metaverse division about all the billions being spent there...
