The cost of living crisis and the energy price spikes we’ve all been experiencing are taking their toll on businesses too.
Small businesses especially are feeling the pain.
The UK Guardian reports that an indoor mushroom farm in Bangor, Gwynedd, has been undermined by a “ridiculous” hike in its energy costs.
Connor McCrorie, who runs the Sporeshore indoor mushroom farm in Bangor, said the business would be doing “extremely well” were it not for skyrocketing energy bills.
The sharp increase in energy bills is impacting all sectors, all businesses and all lives at the moment.
