Bill O’Dea, one of Ireland’s resident mushrooming experts, held a summer mushroom hunt at Highbank Orchards on Friday August 12th.
There was an introductory talk on the Wonderful World of Mushrooms with light refreshments served, followed by a forage and a subsequent fungi identification workshop.
That was all followed by a tour of the organic farm and then a three course wild food dinner.
Tickets for the event were €150 - bookable online at mushroomstuff.myshopify.com and everyone was thoroughly sated following the sumptuous meal and day out.
