The one thing that was missing in last month’s little fashion time about the new mushroom leather handbag being sold by the Stella McCartney label was the price.
Stella McCartney launched the line of handbags made from new-age mushroom leather last month. This is the first time that a product crafted from mycelium, a vegan leather substitute made from the root-like structure in mushrooms, has been available commercially. McCartney, who is a pioneer of sustainable and animal-friendly high fashion, has partnered with biotechnology company Bolt Threads to design the Frayme Mylo bag, which retails at £1995.
You need to be in possession of a deep wallet or purse before you head out and purchase that natty little number!
