As interest rates rise across the board, and economic data from the Bank Of England predicts a negative growth indicator for the UK by the end of this year, the spectre of a recession is looming evermore.
A combination of factors including the Brexit, the war in Ukraine and inflationary pressures from every angle are certainly squeezing the economic outlook into a negative mode.
It looks as if the UK economy is in for a bumpy ride, and one suspects the eurozone economies are also dovetailing into the same formation around the bath plughole.
