There’s a new radio programme from BBC Radio 4 available this month on the BBC Sounds app, called “Fungi: The New frontier.”
It is written and presented by Tim Hayward and is a ‘must listen to’ for any mycophile out there.
Mushrooms as food is a large strand of the programme, and as the presenter indicates; “There is no real upper limit to the amount that fungi could contribute to our diets.” That in itself must be music to the ears of mushroom industry producers worldwide.
As the presenter says - “ Fungi are a vast new frontier that makes the space race look like a school project.”
