On the front page of the magazine of March 1992, there was the grand opening announcement for S Hughes & Co. Compost manufacturers from Co. Tyrone.
Also there was the beaming visage of Patsy Gildernew hosting Paul Smith from Kool All, a refrigeration firm from Ontario, gracing the frontpage.
Stalker noted that the Mushroom Days in Holland were really a must for those involved in the industry back then too!
In March 2002 The industry was mourning the loss of pioneer in the local mushroom industry Francis McArdle.
David Seaby was writing about flies, flies and more flies. MInister Brid Rodgers was opening the McGeary Mushrooms new premises and visiting Hughes Mushrooms too.
It was a hot March in 2012, with temperatures hitting over 20C in some parts of Ireland - the temperature then dropped by 20 degrees at the start of April.
Carl Bozicek was also fondly remembered, the Amycel man with the technical know-how and a penchant for April Fools!
And Brendan McKenna was gracing the Television screens with some apt advice - “ With the changing face of the economy today, I would advise every business to invest in R&D – if you stand still you’re going backwards.”
