We’ve seen the images from abroad and as close to home as the south of England, the red Saharan dust has certainly caused some atmospheric effects.
The orange dust cloud pulled across Europe by Storm Celia has definitely deposited lots of particulate matter over western Europe.
Thus far Ireland has managed to avoid most of the worst of the effects, but even so the windscreens of cars are now dusty in this neck of the woods too.
Of course it has always been said that Saharan dust is a perfect vector for disease to enter into mushroom production facilities.
Keep those doors well shut, and make exit and entry as quick as possible in these dusty conditions.
