Armagh observatory reported that January 2022 was the driest in Armagh for two years, the warmest for ten years and the sunniest for seven years. Snow fell on three days, with sleet and hail on several days as well.
Subjectively Stalker thought that January was the mildest and brightest in manys a long year, and has certainly helped shorten the winter gloom.
However the storms seem to have waited until February to appear back on the scene!
