The latest entrant in the field of supercomputing is none other than Facebook, these days a.k.a Meta.
Facebook says it has built the world’s most powerful supercomputer devoted to artificial intelligence.
The Research SuperCluster (RSC) is claimed to be 20 times as fast as existing machines and they claim will bring AI programs a step closer to human levels of capability in some areas.
Stalker is not convinced that Meta is so far ahead of the rest of the field, but who knows what the next level will be with social media and the “metaverse”.
Unplugging from the machines seems ever more desirable to this old dinosaur.
