Kew Gardens and its partners are forever finding and naming new varieties of plants and fungi.
Recently the scientists have identified a ghost orchid that grows in the gloom and a fungus with teeth.
The fungus was found growing in moss under a sweet chestnut tree in Windsor Great park in 2008.
It was confirmed last year as a new species after analysis of its DNA. Hydellum nemeorosum is one of a group of rare fungi that form mushrooms with teeth under their caps instead of gills.
