“Mushrooms are a low-cost, zero-cruelty protein source”. That phrase leapt off the page of the magazine item Stalker was perusing.

The eco- column was extolling the virtues of mushrooms - it claimed that “mushrooms are the most efficient use of land for agriculture.

A mushroom farm produces more protein per unit of land than any other kind of farming.

And of course they are cruelty free too!”
