A giant mushroom farm has been given the greenlight to go ahead in Lancashire. Smithy Mushroom’s enterprise is to expand into a new building.
The local planning inspector said of the development:
“There would be very significant benefits to the economic and social roles through the construction of the proposed development, the support of the existing local business and the generation of a notable number of job opportunities, particularly available to those in the local community.”
