Perusing the Sunday supplements Stalker’s eye was attracted to a large promotional feature on Waitrose’s Leckford farm. The farm specialises in minimizing waste and providing a circular economic system. Their mushroom “cell” gets a special mention.
“In the musty otherworldly mushroom growing “cell”, they use pest control that contains roundworms called nematodes, not chemicals, which then goes back back into the soil once it’s spent.”
