Recently Boris Johnson, the British Prime Minister, replied to a question at Prime MInister’s Questions in the Houses of Parliament in London.
Mr Johnson said he would look into the legalisation of psilocybin, the active ingredient in magic mushrooms, which would potentially put it in the same category as medical cannabis.
The compound is regarded as a new holy grail in the search for a cure for profound depression. Stalker finds it quite amazing that psilocybin is a topic of conversation at the dispatch box in Westminster.
Hopefully though the scientists involved with research into depression will not find it so difficult to actually use the compound they are investigating the properties of.
