‘Tis the season when mushrooms abound in nature and this year seems to be a bumper year for fungi of all shapes and sizes.
It’s time to check out your local forests and grasslands and marvel at the mushrooms that are bursting out of the ground. Stalker hasn’t seen as profuse a display of woodland fungi for many a long year- the climatic conditions this year must be just right.
Be careful too, if you decide to pick, be 100 percent sure of identification before ingestion. Better still, just photograph or spore print, and leave the eating to the animals.
