In Ireland farm incomes have risen by 9 per cent despite the pandemic.
The major fall-off in demand from food service was regarded as a threat to the industry, but with reduced production costs, as farm input prices fell, Teagasc’s latest annual farm survey shows the resilience of the sector with an average family farm income rising to €25,662 in 2020.
